NASW-KY Hosts Ms. Betty Daniels Rosemond: A Freedom Rider's Journey & Memoir

Greetings,

It is our honor and privilege to host a live presentation with Ms. Betty Daniels Rosemond on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 12:00pm-1:00pm (EST) via GoToMeeting (contact brosen.naswky@socialworkers.org to get the link).  Her amazing story is exactly what we need right now and we are excited to share her wisdom and voice with our Kentucky chapter!  We will be taping her extraordinary story if you are unable to attend her live presentation.

Please note this is only open to NASW-KY members and social work students through their universities.  We are NOT advertising this on social media because we do not want to risk any interruptions so please do NOT share this on your social media.  Once the taping is complete, we will add it to our FREE NASW-KY Membership Podcast CEU list, along with the upcoming second and third presentation from our 2020 Courageous Conversations program.  We are committed to engaging, educating and empowering our professional and student voices by sharing these remarkable stories!

A special shout out to Karen Thompson, LCSW, NASW-KY Northern Branch Chair, for organizing our Courageous Conversations series, and Austin Weiler, BSW, NASW-KY MSW Representative- WKU, for the beautiful flyers to celebrate these wonderful opportunities!  We will be sharing our Courageous Conversations flyer this week when we go LIVE with our NEW MyNASW-Kentucky Community page for members.  Lots of great things happening with our Kentucky chapter and we are grateful to each of YOU for your membership, social work passion, and support.  If you are not currently a member of NASW/NASW-KY, now is the perfect time to join and enjoy many benefits of our national and chapter services:  www.socialworkers.org
